Training runs this winter have been a particularly Training runs this winter have been a particularly icy, snowy, windy, frigid, frustrating endeavor. So @follow.virgil and I headed south to the Comanche National Grasslands, and ran in the warm sun following the winding Purgatoire River through Picketwire Canyon for 13 miles. It was an absolutely gorgeous day, and a much needed warm break from the icy mountains. I’m ready for spring! #coloRADo #comanchenationalgrasslands
Happy place. It’s been a year of change, and my Happy place. It’s been a year of change, and my photography and adventure has fallen to the wayside…but finally I’m on the other side and so excited for this new chapter and where this next year takes me. I’ve been running regularly training for the Leadville Marathon (again! 3rd times a charm right?), starting to get back behind my camera again, and planning my first backpacking adventure in over a year. I’m soooo ready to get back outside creating photos and doing the things that fill my soul. The future is bright. Cheers, friends.✌️

I was thrilled to see #DUKEFOX the other night for I was thrilled to see #DUKEFOX the other night for the first time in 6 or 7 months. Duke has now been the longest fox neighbor I have known! While many remember #SarahtheFox, I only knew her for the last 4 years of her life (according to the neighbors whose property has the den she used, she was at least 10 years old when she died). Duke was Sarah’s mate the last winter of her life in 2018, and I have now known Duke for nearly 5 years! It’s remarkable to have such long lived fox-neighbors, as though they are capable of living 12+ years, they typically only survive 3-4 years. Keep on keeping on Duke! 🦊
Celebrated my 42nd trip around the sun in my favor Celebrated my 42nd trip around the sun in my favorite way - above tree line, without cell service, with no particular destination, chasing the sun back to the truck. #coloRADo #happybirthdaytome
