For as much as I love long miles, big days, and questionably-fun adventure - after a winter of running and training pressure I’m thoroughly enjoying reasons to slow down and explore without time or pace or pressure. It’s still winter up here, it seems. Spring is fighting its way through though. Under the snow that melts off by late afternoon, green grass and bulbs are beginning to grow. I had my first hummingbird visitor to my feeder the other day. Hang in there friends, this frosty wet winter will pay off in wildflowers soon enough.

A wildlife photography technique I love playing ar

A wildlife photography technique I love playing around with is when the sun is bright and high in the sky (which is light that is not optimal for any type of photography) is to waaay underexpose the image. The result can be dramatic. The brights will be expose nicely, and the background and shadows will disappear into darkness. I love how this image came out in lighting that would otherwise not even be worth pulling out my camera in. 🦊#DUKEFOX #redfox
